Safe Computing, a leading software and services provider, today unveiled more details of a new service for their customers.
Starting with current Safe Tempest customers, whose users stem largely from the recruitment sector, Safe Business Intelligence will provide one BI platform in your staffing business that covers front, middle, and back office, whether or not you happen to be using the front or back office solution from Safe. Ultimately the aim is to extend this service to all Safe software customers. ‘We have developed the solution initially around middle office pay and bill, and plan then to extend it out to front and back office components of our suite, but whilst doing this we have created development opportunities available in our BI solution to populate it with data from other front and back office solutions, commercial director for Safe, Jason Martin, commented.

Since 2009, Elan UK has been running an almost completely online middle and back office service for all its UK customers and contractors. This includes online portals from Safe covering e-time capture and authorisation, statements, invoicing and reporting. During 2010 Elan worked with Safe to develop and then start to deploy international pay and bill technology across the European region, which included multi-language and multi-currency versions of the UK portal platform. The portals, which link back to a single international pay and bill platform in London, are presented in local language to the client and contractor end users. The first countries designated for roll out in Q1 2011 include Germany, France and Spain. During this process, Elan will also be rolling out the Safe mobile version of these portals, allowing contractors to capture time on a mobile device and for clients to then authorise that time from whichever mobile products they use.
