The Safe Tempest business information (BI) suite is designed to allow you to monitor and control every aspect of your business. With reports, dashboards and KPI's that give you an up to the minute feel for the operational processes, the profit being made and where the opportunities are for improvement. It's about supplying the right data to the right person in the most effective manner possible. This could mean a list report out at a branch, regional manager dashboards on operation issues, or the five key performance indicators (KPIs) metrics on the CEO/CFO's desktop which helps them 'take the temperature' of the entire operation!

The core of the solution is based around the Safe Tempest pay and bill transactions, with future iterations covering not only our range of front and back office solutions, but also providing our customers with an option to feed the reporting cubes with data from other equivalent products not produced by Safe.  An example of this would be a combination of something like a Bond Adapt front office, Safe middle office and Great Plains back office, with our reporting suite sitting across the whole solution set as the integrated reporting layer.

The dimensions and measures in the solution are the key information about your business. These allow us to organise the data and help you to analyse the various key operational factors.

Dimensions, these allow you to filter and arrange your reports:

• Client
• Consultant
• Department
• Division
• Employer
• Time Tax Year
• Time Calendar Year
• Worker

Measures, the key information about your business:

• Assignments - to show the expected and actual value of assignments
• Gross Profit - the overall measure of business performance
• Transactions - to show quality measures on  business processing

There is also the opportunity to enhance the offering in a bespoke manner if there are measure that should be included that are unique to your business.  This would be done by creating additional measure groups conformed to the generic dimensions.

For the technical amongst us, the major components of the module are:

• Relational datamart
• SSIS packages to carry out the initial load of data from Tempest to the datamart
• SSIS packages to update the data at a frequency defined by the customers business processes and requirements.
• SSAS OLAP cube
• A standard suite of SSRS Scorecard Reports based on the KPI's defined in the cube
• SSRS table and dashboard reports showing data analysis results from all measure groups
• Excel based dashboards
• Online documentation of datamart, cube and reports.
